I recently had the pleasure of attending an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training course, delivered by Sue. Sue was meticulous in her delivery of the course and kept the cohort engaged throughout. Prior to attending the course, I was unsure of how engaging and informative the content would be however myself and others left the course feeling a great sense of responsibility and well informed about how to deal with health and safety issues in the workplace.
I particularly liked Sue's training techniques. She clearly outlined what the course would allow us to do, her explanations were clear and concise, and she was able to use a variety of techniques to cater for different learning styles. Sue spoke about her personal experiences in delivering First Aid and that was really useful in understanding how to deal with real-life situations. It was really beneficial to hear about the emotional and physical factors that people encounter when delivering First Aid.
We all enjoyed the practical exercises (there were many of them) as well the useful and informative theoretical content.
I would highly recommend this course to everyone, as the skills learnt are invaluable and could potentially save lives. Sue also has my highest recommendation and I hope I have the opportunity to work with her again.
